Clinical Profile

Toby graduated from the University of Bristol and spent a number of years in mixed and small animal practice before undertaking a Residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Glasgow. He holds both RCVS and ECVS Diplomas in small animal surgery, and was awarded an MVM for research into canine elbow dysplasia. Toby has been an examiner for the RCVS at Certificate and Diploma levels, and has sat on the RCVS Small Animal Surgery board, the AOVET European board and the AOVET Education commission. He has published over 40 papers and book chapters and is the co-editor of the 2nd Edition of the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Fracture Repair and Management. He has been heavily involved in postgraduate orthopaedic education and has lectured widely at national and international meetings. Toby's clinical interests include all aspects of small animal orthopaedic and spinal surgery.

Research

Toby has published over 40 peer reviewed articles and book chapters, and is the co-editor of the 2nd Edition of the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Fracture Repair and Management.
