Clinical Profile

I am Managing Director of Davies Veterinary Specialists, the largest private veterinary specialist hospital in the UK. I lead a team of 50 veterinary surgeons and a staff of 150. Clinical disciplines include orthopaedics, soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, neurology, dermatology, physiotherapy, diagnostic imaging and anaesthesia. After graduation I moved into post-graduate training, eventually achieving the Diplomas of the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and RCVS Recognised Specialist Status in 1995. I was awarded an MSc in Immunology in 1995 and a PhD in 2000. I moved out of academia for the different challenges and rewards of private practice in 1997, joining DVS in its early development in 1998. I have been Assistant Editor of Journal Of Small Animal Practice and a Board member of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. In 2013 I became a Trustee of the assistance dog charity, Canine Partners. In 2015 I became a Trustee of the British College of Veterinary Specialists. Clive is not currently available for clinical consultation.
