Clinical Profile

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1989 and gained my RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology in 1995, being awarded RCVS specialist status in 1997. I currently run regular small animal dermatology referral clinics in Ware and Hitchin in Hertfordshire, and Hatfield Heath and Harlow in Essex. I am involved in post-graduate teaching and have published a number of peer-reviewed research articles, review articles and book chapters in the field of small animal veterinary dermatology. Over the years, I have lectured both nationally and internationally and have been a member of the veterinary dermatology board and the BVDSG committee. I have also been involved in several clinical studies to investigate the role of ectoparasites, bacterial infection, hormonal imbalances and allergies as causes of skin disease in domestic animal species.
