Clinical Profile

Following graduation in 2006, Caroline worked for 2.5 years in first opinion practice (predominantly small animal practice). She then undertook a rotating internship and residency at the University of Glasgow. After acquiring the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine and then the Diploma for the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Companion Animals), she became a European and RCVS recognised specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2014 and 2015, respectively. She has since worked in both university and private referral practice environments. She enjoys all aspects of clinical internal medicine but has developed further interests in haematology and transfusion medicine, immune-mediated diseases, endocrinology and diseases of the respiratory tract. She is currently developing her skills in the area of interventional radiology and has formed a new department offering these services at Pride Veterinary Centre.

Research

She has published predominantly in the area of haematology and transfusion medicine including peer reviewed articles and book chapters although she has ongoing research projects in other areas including endocrinology, respiratory tract diseases and interventional radiology.
